the collation of Microsoft SQL Server on this machine is unsupported

Hi all,
We have the above mentioned issue on one of our server and this is the first time it occured after we upgraded to SQL Server 2005 from 2000. We did that 1 mnth back and Can some one tell me what might be the reason?

It must be incompatibility of collations between SQL Server and windows. Some collations of your upgraded to SQL Server 2005 is not supported by Windows server 2003.
