It's down to the recipient update service RUS, so no it's not AD related, you can manually run it......or plan better. ;)

MojoTech is correct.     But if you have OWA you should see the new object quickly.   The problem is with the offline address book.

Can you create a new account then, if Exchange 2003, manually update?

In System Manager:
Recipients --> Recipient Update Services -->  Recipient Update Service (yourdomain) - right click and select 'Update  Now'.

then

System Manager --> Recipients --> Offline Address Lists --> Default  Offline Address Lists - right click and "rebuild".

in outlook

Go to user  then - Send/Receive down arrow and choose "Download Address Book".

yup both of them are correct

RUS is not stamping email address properly and there is a delay.

Guys, your right on the money. I was re-syncing the recipient update service, but not rebuilding the offline address book. I guess I need to setup a custom rebuild schedule for it other then 3am. Why does OWA see it right away? Becouse its not using the OAB?
