Shadow copies quit working

I have two server that have both suddenly quit creating shadow copies.  I recently applied latest updates to both of these servers, so I'm thinking Microsoft broke something again.

Is anybody having problems with shadow copies (previous version) not getting created?  If I try to manually create with the "Create Now" button an error pops up saying "Failed to creaate a shadow copy of volume ... Error 0x8007000e: Not enough storage is available to complete this operation".

The error is totally bogus, because the drive I am snapping shadow copies to is dedicated for this purpose, and is nowhere near being full.

I've tried deleting some of the old copies to see if the problem has to do with too many previous versions.  No luck there.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thank you.  Unfortunately these articles do not relate to my problem (though the Scalability Factors was interesting reading!).

I fixed the problem by rebooting both servers.  As soon as I rebooted shadow copies started working again.  Looking through the logs, I noticed that one of the servers had reported several errors on the drive prior to shadow copies shutting down....

....but after reboot I am not seeing these errors.

I am going to chalk this one up to strange, unexplainable Microsoft stuff and move on.
Try restarting the shadow copy service

Check the storage area location and size limit under the setting button.

Some times updates have a tendency to reset things

Nope, no dice.
Check out the articles below. The error might be a result of having to many snapshots that cause you to run out of paged pool memory.  32-bit systems, which may have a maximum paged pool memory of  650 MB
