Console session hanging on Windows Server 2003

I have a remote server and when I RDP to it with /console screen I have only blue dekstop screen with no icon no nothing. I rebooted the server last night and the same thing happens. I have reset the session in TS Manager and in Task Manager that didn't do anything.

Anything else I can try?

Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Look through your system event log for the event IDs listed in the MS KB articles. Also, if you see any other events related to memory issues, post back with details. Also, make sure you have a large enough page file and that it isn't heavily fragmented. This free utility - will defrag your page file. You can also set the page file size to zero on the affected disk, reboot to safe mode, defrag your disk, then recreate the page file.

shabhi, what do you mean exactly by "reset user profile"? this Admin profile on a domain controller.

wantabe2, I don't see 1505 or 1508 errors in my app log nor 2020 in system log

another hard reboot of the server fixed the problem
