Pushing out a single windows update via GPO

There is a single windows security update that I would like to push out via group policy (if possible) to a range of PCs with different windows operating systems. Unfortunately there is no WSUS server present and turning on automatic updates isn't an option.

Does anyone know the best way of going about this? I'm hoping I don't have to write a script to determine which OS each computer is running and choose the update to push accordingly.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

you will need to extract the .msi file from the update like this:

this is how to deploy software via policy.
