SCCM 2007 SP2 reporting issue

Hi

I have had no issue when I was using SCCM 2007 SP1 and reporting will give all correct result. Now I installed SP2 on server 2008 and I am not getting it work. It tells me "No matching record is found" if I try to inquire computer with speciifc operating system. It does show me my collection and let me choose a machine if I want to see details of the machine. But after that it gives blank screen. My client is installed and assigned to the site. If I run report "computer assigned to the site but are not reporting to the site", the clients show up.
My sql server is sql 2005 and it is on the same box as sccm. I run the report from admin account . I am using report viewer on IE to see the report. I can see the netbios name of the machine but when I click on it there is no more details of the machine. Please help.

could you check the system status if there are listed any warnings or errors?
If no then try to reinstall the reporting point

Sounds like a communication problem.  Either, your SCCM management Point isn't working since the upgrade... or the client machine is not functioning properly.

Are any clients working properly?  Check the hardware inventory (resource explorer) to see when the last scan time occurred.  If its recent, then we can assume that your MP is working fine... time to examine the client machines.

I agree with NJComputerNetworks: Do log does not point to any problem. Check out Open the resource explorer of an computer object and check if there any information included. If not..then your hardware or software inventory has a problem

Okay..Do I need to have Assest intelligence service turned on? Because I am not sure if I had it running last time with SP1? Right now my assest inetlligence is not running on site server.

could you explicit trigger a hardware inventory cycle on the client.
Control Panel -> Configuration Manager -> Actions -> Trigger Hardware Inventory

Can you check the client logiles C:\windows\system32\ccm\logs
InventoryAgent.log
First we check if the client process is ok.
I assume its a serverside problem, so you could check your site system status for problems (managemnt point etc.)

Hi Merowinger..
did u advise before or after my success..didn't get that part.
okk..so say SCCM takes it sweet time to update stuff..I realized that part..but when i have a deadline, i tend to forget that part..but i am in love with SCCM and i hope i will make other admins believe in it..people think MS product is pain and vulernerable.
Thanks a lot!!
