What is difference in between CItrix Provisioning server and XenDesktop Server

In citrix Provisioning I understand that we can use this PVS server for Desktop booting and configure without Hard drive (Same I can do it for Server as well).
But if we take only Xen desktop seenario that is also same kind of technology is using. The desktop will not have hard disk and it will run from storage (Virtual disk).

Then what is difference and which one is the advantage of using.

Thanks in advance

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

XenDesktop uses Provisioning Server to provision the virtual machines in XenServer (or whatever virutal infrastructure you use) for the users desktops they connect to.
