Ciscoworks

Hi,

I am getting  the following error message from Ciscoworks when trying to run a SNMP Walk.

"Failed to snmpwalk the device. Please check your community string and stating OID, and try again"

Question" what is starting OID. How can I find it out?

Thanks so much!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It's the OID of the device. But if you put the correct read and r/w community strings in your credentials it should figure it out on its own. Have you configured the device for snmp?
