"The user profile service failed the logon. No more threads can be created in the system."

My Windows 2008 term server was working fine when all of the sudden today, after about 10 logins, I get "The user profile service failed the logon. No more threads can be created in the system."  I have 250 CALS installed.  What causes this and what's the fix?  Help!

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That article is about a profile that won't load.  The profiles do load after a server reboot, but after X many logins, I get the above error.  "The user profile service failed the logon. No more threads can be created in the system

I'd use perfmon to permanently watch the thread  count on your server.
Its under the category Process -> Thread count.

Another helpful tool is Process Monitor, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
