Common Nmap commands to find a virus?

I have virus on a network I inherited 4 server 50 workstations, Nmap was recommeded to try and determine which computer or computers are infected without having to touch each one.

Can someone recommend correct command to use or correct syntax to use?(my fist thought is to scan for workstations with port 25 open)

Also can someone recoment some othe common commands / syntax that  are useful that will also help me familiarize myself with NMAP?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can also run wireshark to pick up any abnormalities.  I have used wireshark for checking the network and found pc's infected with viruses.
