Common Nmap commands to find a virus?

I have virus on a network I inherited 4 server 50 workstations, Nmap was recommeded to try and determine which computer or computers are infected without having to touch each one.

Can someone recommend correct command to use or correct syntax to use?(my fist thought is to scan for workstations with port 25 open)

Also can someone recoment some othe common commands / syntax that  are useful that will also help me familiarize myself with NMAP?

TIA

Another nmap link- http://nmap.org/book/man.html

You can also run wireshark to pick up any abnormalities.  I have used wireshark for checking the network and found pc's infected with viruses.  http://www.wireshark.org/
