windows 7 error code 80244017 while doing windows update

hi,

Initially i had trail version of windows 7 enterprise edition. later on i brought volume lic. and converted trail version to paid version now when ever i do windows update i get this eror message

errors found code 80244017 and when i check which updates are not installed and found all microsoft office 2007 updates were failed.

Please help me on the same.

Do you have a proxy server or firewall set?

This could also be due to permission issues on that user account.

I do have pix firewall and i am administrator

as I stated earlier about permission issues, check out the article acl-puzz posted regarding the 80244017 issue. The accepted answer in that section called permissions as the accepted solution to his question.
