Backup Exec 12.5 - Open SMTP serverfs

I have recently moved all of my employers email accounts over to Gmail (non-profit, Education) version of Gmail. However my nightly backups can no longer send me an email of the backup status each night sense Gmail use SSL etc for the SMTP and POP3. Does anyone know of a work around for something like this? If you have recently put your older email server out of commission and still need to get your nightly reports from internal servers that can not support SSL etc only port 25. Do I need to look for an open smtp relay? If so Yikes! can you recommend one?

Thanks,

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
