Email not received from NBX 100

Attempting to set up our NBX 100 system to deliver emails with .WAV attachments for voicemail notifications. I have everything setup properly however, I  recieve the following email when I get a voicemail.

The mail NBX Message Notification coming from nbx@mycompany.com can not be transmitted to you because it contains an attachment prohibited by our security policy.

I can manually create an email, attach a .WAV and send/recieve with no issues so there is no blocking of that file type.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Your server is blocking .wav files.  If you want to verify this, send one of the messages directly to a third party mail account like gmail.

Check out the multitude of options that might be trying to inhibit spam - http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/2010/en/us/exchange-2007-features.aspx

It will work once your email filter will let it through.

After exhaustive troubleshooting it turns out it was being blocked by a firewall.
