Windows Time service will not start on Vista Ultimate

Even though "Windows Time" service is set to automatic it does not start.  When I tried to manually start the service I receive the following error:
"Windows could not start the Windows Time service on Local Computer.
Error 1079:  The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process."
From Windows Time properties I have tried changing the log on from the "Local System Account" to the Administrator's account and to the local user's account, but I still receive the same error message.  Is there anything else to try?  Thanks for any suggestions.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, create a new local computer account & make it a local administrator. Password protect this account & go back into services & use this new account to try to start the service. If this does not work do a Windows Update & that's unsuccessful do a system restore.
it shold be set to" local service" account like see attached pix
