htaccess redirect with 'random' title

I have many pages and they are db driven, I would like to build the link so that it goes like this[echo $title]/[echo $id]

and I need the htaccess to allow me to have a different title without me having to type in 50 instances for the htaccess.

How would I do that from this code:
RewriteRule ^pages/TITLE WOULD BE HERE/([0-9]+)/?$ /test.php?pid=$1 [NC,L] # Handle listing requests

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you saying that you want  and Title/1 both to route to /test.php?pid=1?

Can you give some examples of the rewrite that you're looking for?

What I am saying is that I want the htaccess to rewrite: Hello Test/15 Homes of Sale/17 links/18 for sale here now/19

Oh I see.
RewriteRule ^pages/[^/]+/([0-9]+)/?$ /test.php?pid=$1 [NC,L] # Handle listing requests
