This is an ongoing issue we have been having for months now.
When the user is viewing a web page he will go to File-> Send-> Page by Email or Link by Email and then nothing happens. No error message, no beep. No event logs, nothing. He tries to do it over and over again with the same result. Also, if he is in Adobe Acrobat Reader 9 and clicks File->Attache to Email he gets the same result.
Now here is the kicker, it doesn't always happen. In fact 9 times out of 10 it works. When it happens he calls us and we remote onto the machine, see the behavior, and can't seem to fix it until a reboot.
Windows XP SP3
Internet Explorer 6,7,8
Exchange Server 2003 SP1
Adobe Acrobat Reader 9
What we've done so far:
Uninstalled Internet Explorer back to 6.0 and stepped through the next versions up to 8.
Uninstalled Office 2003 and re-installed from the ground up.
Switched the Outlook Editor from Outlook to Word and back.
Applied every Windows XP update we could find.
Applied every Office 2003 Update we could find.
The problem always comes back every few days.
Anyone have anything to try?
