can't ping host header

Hi experts,

I add a host header to IIS6 on 2003 server. I have A-records set up in DNS. I can see the site from my local network, but when I ping it from the internet (using a different ISP to my local network) I can ping the web site, but not the web site with header. I.e. pings fine but doesn't ping. I'm using to resolve my IP, as it isn't static.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In DynDNS, did you enable the wildcard * on the domain? If you didn't, DynDNS will only resolve the domain and nothing else. If you do, it will resolve all hostnames under to your IP address.
