can't ping host header

Hi experts,

I add a host header to IIS6 on 2003 server. I have A-records set up in DNS. I can see the site from my local network, but when I ping it from the internet (using a different ISP to my local network) I can ping the web site, but not the web site with header. I.e. mysite.com pings fine but myheader.mysite.com doesn't ping. I'm using Dyndns.com to resolve my IP, as it isn't static.

In DynDNS, did you enable the wildcard * on the domain? If you didn't, DynDNS will only resolve the domain mysite.com and nothing else. If you do, it will resolve all hostnames under mysite.com to your IP address.
