GMAIL - unable to move "inbox" mail to folders

I have two systems on which I use GMAIL.  One seems to work perfectly while the other system tied to a different network does not.  On the one that works OK, I have 6 small dots to the left of the note in the INBOX and on the one that does not work properly, the dots do NOT exist.  Placing the cursor over the dots changes it to a "hand" which allows me to move the email note to an established label.  What can I do to make the GMAIL interface work properly to allow the INBOX notes to be moved to a label?

what systems are you using. more information is needed to answer your question.
if you are using a computer with low graphics, or a mac that might be the issue. maybe a linux one as well but not too sure on that. if your usins pop or imap, check your settings and see if they are all properly installed. i had one once, where it would auto delete emails from the server whenever my gmail app downloaded them. it was an issue. try those out

Thanks for your help.  I found the solution.  One system was using an old version of Firefox.  Once I upgraded the browser, each system now sees the interface the same.  I plan to delete the question.
