XSL Connection

I have a xsl file supplied by a vendor that I need to modify where it gets it's data. Currently what I am seeing in the file is lines along this format.
<xsl:value-of select="//GetDetailsInfoResults/Order"/>. I am assuming that the XML is supplied from some hidden location or service that I do not have access to. I need to either need to add in a second dataset to the XSL file if that is possible and if not, how do I add my own custom dataset to replace the vendor one. The data is coming from Sql Server 2005.

Thanks,

You need to change whatever is APPLYING the XSL to the "hidden" XML.

What process currently runs this transformation?  Is it something scheduled or do you initiate it?

I don't have any control over the xml. There is a function in the app that will produce the xml which I can't see. I was hoping that maybe along with their xml, maybe I could pull in a different set of xml.

If you have a different xml in a format suitable for the stylesheet, there is nothing stopping you from applying the XSL to your different xml.  If you are a .NET programmer (C# or VB.NET), you can do this in code using the XslCompiledTransform class.  If not, there are utilities to do this sort of thing from the command line, using a utility such as

The issue that I have is that I do not have control over the XML. If I could produce a "different XML" through my app, I could include all of the data I need. Therefore, the correct solution is a different xml.
