Want a flash effect like a flash light running through a wire (motherboard lines)

Hi,
How can I create an effect of a wired motherboard (lines through all the motherboard), and I want to draw the lines on the motherboard an simulate a light effect (little circle or line) that runs through all the line following the path of the line.

I tried to use a mask, but t doesn't look good or I don't know how to do it :(

Any help or tutorial would be very appreciated.
Thanx

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

mask is the way to go.

look into using motion paths so you can set the trail for your light

will this be an as2 or as3 project?
have you got a motherboard image to begin with? post it here
