You will find the NetXtreme II Family of adaperts Driver on support.dell.com. make sure to select the correct OS first. Download the harddrive version, extract the files, run the setup from the &quot;driver management apps installer&quot; directory. make sure you do install BASP.<br />
Set the 2 Nics that you want to team to DHCP<br />
From the BACS icon on the system tray create a standard load balancing team adding the 2 nics <br />
Go to network properties and you will now see a new adapert call Team 1, set your IP info on it and your done!<br />

We have a Dell R710 with broadcom nics &nbsp;- &nbsp;we currently only have the single Cisco 3750 but will eventually have a second. We for now want a bit of NIC redundancy and load balancing. What is the best way to accomplish this?<br />

Dell R710 NIC Teaming and Cisco 3750

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments. Switches operate at the data link layer or the network layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Reference Model and therefore support any packet protocol. LANs that use switches to join segments are called switched LANs or, in the case of Ethernet networks, switched Ethernet LANs. A hub is a connection point for devices in a network. Hubs are commonly used to connect segments of a LAN. A hub contains multiple ports; when a packet arrives at one port, it is copied to the other ports so that all segments of the LAN can see all packets.
