Dell D620 with Broadcom 1390 Wireless Card Won't Connect to Wireless Network

I have a Dell D620 with Broadcom 1390 Wireless Card and it won't connect to a home wireless network (a Netgear router).  I had the same problem three years ago and remember having to download a fix from Dell--and was given the advice from Experts Exchange. I now have a new employee with the same problem but can't remember the solution. The computer can connect to other wireless routers and can work when connected to the wireless router via an ethernet cable. The wireless antenna is on.  Can someone direct me to the driver or describe the fix?

I suggest that you try to install the latest wlan drivers. Here is the link:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=LATITUDE%20D620&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=
Choose the correct OS.

If you are using Dell's wireless management tool instead of the Windows tool, I suggest you remove the Dell tool through Add/Remove Programs (in XP) or Programs (Vista and Win7).  Manage the connection through Windows.
