Need to view and copy files from a .bkf Seagate backup

Hey all!, I had an unexpected crash due to Rtvscan hogging resources, and when I tried to delete some strings in the registry in corrupted windows and would not reboot. I did have a backup of my computer with the .bkf extension on a small Seagate external drive. Is there any way to read the files from the backup and copy them to my newly formatted computer? A reader of sorts, I am searching around, and did some looking on EE but I may be looking in the wrong places. I would have done a restore but I was afraid I would run into the same problems of Rtvscan causing massive slowdowns making my box unusable
