When I promote a member server to DC, what about shares?

I remember when I promote a server that is a member of a domain the users shares should not be effected, right?

I think it will lose shared permission only if I demote?

If you promote a server that is already in a domain, any local accounts assigned permissions will no longer have those permissions in effect (the accounts won't really exist).   The Shares are not affected unless the accounts no longer exist.
Promoting or demoting does not affect shares (other than SYSVOL etc), though of course permissions may be affected as local accounts/groups will be affected

Will the domain user account permissions  stay the same, such as home folders?
