My original post stands. Short of uninstall/reinstall or digging through the registry there is no way to do it.

Sorry mate don't mean to chide but I was aware that I needed to delete certain files, but I did not know which ones, and where, I should have mentioned this in my question in the first place, but like you know mac and pc have different file structures on a pc you can it is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - adobe - Dreamweaver CS3 or 4 - Recent File List and then delete, but with a mac I could not find anything until after risking deleting the prefs file.

I am trying to make a tutorial and I would like to clear the recent list so it don't confuse the people it's for.
