Check full text index exists

I am writting a script that automatically recreates database objects that are lost when a sucscription is reinitialized. One of the things that i need to recreate is the full text indexs.

Before i create a new one i want to check and see if one exists and if so drop it (like you do with other objects such as indexes)

I cannot find any examples that would help me do this. The syntaxt that i am trying to create is

If Exists (FullTextIndex_name)
      Drop FullTextIndex_name

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

if exists(select 1 from sys.fulltext_indexes where object_id = object_id('full text name'))
drop index ...
