Citrix XenDesktop 4 Remote Access Configuration Help Needed

I don’t usually ask for help.  I’m usually the one giving it so this is unusual for me.  So here it goes:
Citrix XenDesktop 4 with Citrix XenServer 5.5.  I have a fully operational production system however this is my first Citrix XenDesktop implementation that requires remote access. Internally I can access the virtual desktops via either URL or the Citrix Online Plug-In. Incoming Internet access to this Citrix environment is via a dedicated DSL with a dedicated IP mapped in a One-to-One map to the Desktop Delivery Controller without any firewalling (during this testing phase). Outbound and other Internet activities are facilitated via a T1. This is a 20-user network so there is no Provisioning Server in this network. I cannot obtain connectivity remotely. I have created an additional entry in the User Device Addresses table however have not had success connecting via any of the Secure Access methods. I have read up plenty on the configurations and have simply failed to get it to work so I am tapping into the great resources of Experts Exchange. In essence, it works great but not remotely. Since there are plenty of variables for the remote access piece I could use some direction. I would also like to use thin-client devices remotely but assume that if I can access via a browser or Online Plug-In then a thin-client ought to connect as well. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

In the Proofs of Concepts I have done, I setup remote access exactly the same as with XenApp and have never had an issue.  The only diff is adding the DDC as an "XML Broker".

Unfortunately I cannot affirm that response because I have not set up remote access to any Xen environment. So the answer is I do not know that configuration either.  Sorry, I'm looking for the detailed  specific settings in detail to get remote access working in the Citrix environment above.
For the configuration outlined above could someone direct me as to the correct Secure Access method?  Should I use Translated or Gateway Translated?  Or is another method preferred?  Thanks in advance.

Much appreciated Carl. I will let you know shortly. I have a lot of respect for your site and your articles. I've been following them for some time now.
Thanks for the compliment.  Big news coming any day now.  Watch Doug's site for info.
CSG Direct allows remote connection but 'Assigned' desktop stalls with error 1031. Checked DNS which looks OK. I have not updated the hosts file. Default is Direct with Gateway Direct added. Gateway Direct only as Default prohibits local clients from connecting. Also, no cert is installed as of yet. However I can connect remotely and authenticate via Online Plug-In or DesktopWeb.
Pardon my mistake. It is error 1030.
