I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

is there any chance that there are other errors in the application or system log?  event 1000 is -extremely- generic, it's almost the catch-all for "we dont know what happened".

it may be because of version mismatch.
because while installing something msvcr80.dll may be replaced.

Ther is no other Application specific events on Event Viewer ( On both System & Application )
For the same server, due to the mentioned issue, we have uninstalled the SEP ( Symantec Endpoint Protection ) and Installed with SAV 10.

As per the above link mnetioned, we have applied and tried to register, but the same error is thrown.

Wether we neeed to copy the  "msvcr80.dll" from "WinSxS" folder to c:WINDOWS\system32 and then register ?

Still the issue is persisting.
