"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This issue sometime occurs after a update instillation failure.

Have you tried to install any updates?

Update the Exchange with the latest service pack and update roll up.

I hope this helps,
Are you behind an ISA firewall, Http filtering or the wrong puiblishing configuration can do that.

I would recommend following the procedure outlined here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd767439(WS.10,printer).aspx to repair the Client Access (CAS) role.
