fpdtc.dll broken or missing when upgrading to office 2007

Hi all experts,

I 'm having issues with fpdtc.dll.
Been looking around but most or all solutions say 'just delete it and uncheck it in references'

I have created a bunch of Userforms and modules using the "Date Time Picker", so i need it.

How do i fix this problem?
Or is there an alternative dll that will give me a similar "Date Time Picker".

I'm running Office 2007 on Win7? The program was designed for office 2003 on XP

Before upgrading all the computers from xp/office 2003 to win7/office 2007, i need to make sure that everything i've created in VBA excel will still work.

Had issues with mscomct2.ocx and comctl32.ocx. These DLL s, i just downloaded and placed them in c:\windows\system32.

Office 2003 components are not 100% compatible with Office 2007
1. Go to tools references in your VBA editor and check the location of FPDTC.dll.
2.  Uncheck it.
3. Click browse and try to find FPDTC.dll under Office 12 folder in your default Office install dir.
4. If found add it and check it.
5. Your program should compile and work now.
You can do the same steps for other problems you may have. Do not put dll that are not Office 2007 ones in your system because they may not work properly.

Note: FPDTC - Front Page Design Time Control is part of Front page. You need to find the 2007 equivalent, you may need to install Front page 2007 just to get the required

FPDTC.dll doesn't exist under office 12, (i think)

is there a similar tool available for office 12?

It's basicly a tool on the UForm to pick a date from a small calander in stead of having to enter it manually.

You need to get the updated version of FPDTC.dll and copied under office 12.

You may need to install Front page 2007 in your development PC just to get this dll, and then copied to all your client machines.
Also you may need to update the FPDTC.dll reference entry as per steps in my previous comment.

OK

Some things cleared up for me (real stupid of me)
the problem was not in fddtc.dll but in mscomct2.ocx
Like i said
--> " Had issues with mscomct2.ocx and comctl32.ocx. These DLL s, i just downloaded and placed them in c:\windows\system32. "

I'm running 64bit version of win 7 !

file belongs in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 !!
typed regsvr32 "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCT2.OCX"

dtpicker is working again

now i'm just wondering which tools or functions i'm using with fpdtc.dll
