IPCop 1.4.21 Unable to edit/add/disable DMZ Pinhole settings.

I recently changed the green interface IP subnet.  THere are many existing rules in DMZ pinhole settings that still refer to old subnet.

I was able to change the IP address via root access to the machine, and modify the port forwarding rules via the GUI. When I try to make changes to the DMZ pinhole settings, I click on the pencil, make my changes, click the update button then the screen just goes white and I can't do anything except go back. When I refresh my changes are not saved. How can I get around this?

Try editing manually the file /var/ipcop/dmzholes/config

did you use the ipcop setup utility from a root terminal to change the IP or did you use the netcardconfig utility.
You should use the setup utility, it changes the IP in all the needed places and not just in the network driver.
You should also change the DHCP settings at the same time.

you can try resetting your green interface back to what it was and then delete all the settings that refer to it. Change to the new Ip and put in your new settings.

If that doesn't work, it doesn't take that long to start from scratch.

I figured out the problem. Someone had changed the permissions on the config file so that it was not editable.  Once I changed them back, I was able to change the settings.
