Why do my clients homepage keep getting switched to Http://companyweb?

I just migrated to a 2008 SBS server and my clients hompages keep getting switched to http://companyweb.  I do not use any companyweb page.  Is there a way to keep this from happening?

You should be able to uncheck the "Customize home page url"

It is done by group policy, this will probably change every 90 minutes at the latest. You can type rsop.msc at the run prompt and it will tell you which policy is causing this to take place. Then go to your server find the policy , find the entry and take the tick out of the box. I think it is in the default domain policy but cannot be certain.

How do I tell which policy.  It brought up my RSOP snap-in but I'm not sure where to find that particular policy.

If you find the important URLs tab in User, windows settings and internet explorer, double click on it the second tab (home page precedence )will tell you the preference of the policy applied and this is the one that you will need to find on your server.

I have found the Policy and how it is defined has http://companyweb.  How do I change it so that all the users can set their own homepages on their personal PCs.  I do not want the server in control of that at all.

Find the policy onthe server and just take the tick out of the box. You should then find the end user can set as they please.
