Can't open mailbox after moving from 2003 to 2010

I'm able to move mailboxes to the new 2010 server from 2003 but can't open them from the full outlook client.  I can open the mailbox from OWA but cannot recieve email, only send.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In 2010 All Client Side requests are handled by CAS server. Your Outlook client might be trying to access the mailbox serer directly which will not allow it to do so. Instead You will need to specify the CAS server role in your outlook  in order for it to get syncronized. Looks like If it is the server which is holding both CAS and Mailbox roles, then you might need to rebuild the CAS server. Is any other user able to send/recieve email ?

The problem only affects mailboxes being moved to the new 2010 server.  All the mailboxes on 2003 are fine.

Hilal1924-I point the outlook to the new CAS server and it says that the server is offline.

Try Running this command:-
set-ClientAccessServer -Identity "CAS server name" -EncryptionRequired:$False

Then try to open the mailbox from outlook. This is for outlook 2003
