'one or more users currently use a mailbox store' when trying to remove exchange 2003
I finished moving all mailboxes and public folders from our old exchange server to our newer one. I'm trying to remove exchange from this box but it tells me that one or more users currently have a mailbox here.
I've checked in AD and the only account with homeserver here is the system mailbox. I've looked at the homeMDBBL attribute on the mailbox store and it lists system mailbox, smtp, and system attendant. I don't see anywhere showing that an account has a mailbox on this server.
I've looked at 924170 but nothing other than system mailbox has homeserver here; 279202 doesn't apply since I'm not trying to delete a mailbox store.
Anything else I can check?

That worked. Did an LDAP query and found an old account with no mailbox. Looking at the exchange tabs in AD returned 'unable to read information from the directory'. Deleted that account and no error when selecting remove.
the visual display wont change, but it might shake it loose
