Need help on DWG viewer2008

I have this error popping out - customization file load failed. File not found: DWGVIEWR.cui.

Because of this I cannot do any printing and open up some CAD files.

Any suggestion?

I cannot uninstall and reinstall the software. Even the updated one which is TrueView2011. Error message is - system policy does not allow. I confirm that there is no viral infection in my system. No group policy being implemented. I repaired the registry but to no avail.

Can you change system policy? Give yourself higher rights locally. Our AutoCAD Mechanical install requires it.

Sounds like your user account doesn't have full admin credentials locally. Have you it person uninstall/reinstall the applications for you.

I'd have to look (I'm going from memory at the airport) but the cui file in question should be located in the program files folder structure. Copy it from there to the proper location in your windows profile (c:\docs settings\\application data\true view(or similar)\support". Depending on the operating system, this could be different. Also, it's currious this file is missing. There's a good chance others are as well which would mean it didn't do the secondary install when you used it the first time. You'll likely need your it guy to help fix this.

If you've logged on as admin and there are still isssues it might just need to be rebuilt (the system os). If there's no policy changes and you can't uninstal even with admin accounts, something is whacked.

You're not doing something funky like running this in a citrix/thin client environment are you?

You using roaming profiles?

"File not found: DWGVIEWR.cui."

Find the file from another workstation and copy it to this one perhaps?

All solution doesnt work. Finally i reformat the PC. It has alot of restrictions which i cannot locate. System policy denys every little things that I want to install.

Anyway, thanks for all your inputs.
