The connection dropped due to an smtp protocol event sink


Im relaying my mail via the a connector which points to Postini and when Im viewing the queues in EMS, it shows me the above error message.

The email queue never gets higher than 1500 and the messages are all txt based, whats your advice for me to troubleshoot this issue

Use SMTPReg.vbs and enumerate all your event sinks and check which third party sinks are installed, Could be a local Anti-Virus or Archiving software etc. Download the script from here:

Disable the third party sinks temporarily and see if it resolves the issue.

I can confirm there is no local anti-virus nor archiving on this server since its still in test.
Did you enumerate and Verify the event sinks?
