3com 4500 switch has startup cfg file = null?
hi all fellow experts,,
i have a problem in 3com 4500 that does not load the configuration file .. and it is loading with the default configuration ,,
i tried to configure it and save the configs and it does save successfully but when i reboot the switch it goes back to the Default config.
the most noticable thing is that
Startup save configuration file = null
next Startup save configuration file = flash:/config.cfg
and when i set the null to flash:/config.cfg it saves and when i reboot it goes back to null with the default config loaded.

startup saved-configuration filename [ backup | main ]
where filename is the config file name and backup or main denotes whether it is a backup file or main config file. Either type can be used as the startup config file
