Load drupal content via ajax

Hi all,

i'm currently building a website using drupal 6 with alot of image contents. i'd like to load some of the contents via ajax to improve loading performance. Can you help me with some examples or perhaps direct me to a good article regarding ajax or json and how to implement this on my drupal website. I'm pretty new with this.

Thanks,
Reynaldi

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
