Several things bud

You have a tunnel interface in the trust zone but bound to an interface in the untrust zone

You also have NAY in the form of a MIP added to this tunnel interface.  NAT on a tunnel interface that is is unnumbered is likely to fail

If you are going to use a mip on the tunnel int, then you need to define an IP address

Can you give us an idea of what the logs say regarding the remote access VPN as well as what the error is you see at the client side?

get event type 536 will give the VPN logs and confirm what the client is using to connect to the VPN

"You have a tunnel interface in the trust zone but bound to an interface in the untrust zone"
- which is only a problem if the "bound to" interface resides in a different vr then the tunnel interface.

"NAT on a tunnel interface that is is unnumbered is likely to fail" ,
- very likely indeed, in fact, it's not supported :)

"If you are going to use a mip on the tunnel int, then you need to define an IP address"
- spot on...

"set ike gateway "SPT-DUVPN" dialup "VPNUSers"   -> i think that's the one you're trying to do, but what about the XAUTH settings on this gateway? i don't see it in the config

I guess the client is trying to do xauth, but the gateway on the ssg is not set up for xauth.

Thanks I found an article on how to configure it for shrew soft vpn and it is compatible with all windows versions and the doc for it worked perfect the first time so no need to use netscreen remote if anyone else would like to use shrew soft instead of netscreen remote here is the article.

Using Shrew with SSG and other devices (in particular Cisco), and used that tutorial for SSG ... A good and versatile VPN client.
