Unable to install Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager

When I try to install System Center Configuration Manager on Windows 2008 server, the installation prerequesite check gives me the following errors
BITS Installed,
BITS enabled
WEBDAV installed
WEBDAV enabled.
The error acutally asks me to install both BITS and WEBDAV services.
I have enabled BITS service in server manager. I downloaded the WEBDAV and installed the program. I see WEBDAV in IIS 7.
However, I am still getting those errors when I install System Center Configuration Manager.
Please help.

Please have a look at this guide to configure WebDav and IIS

Also make sure that you've chhose the sub Features from Bits

If still not work, please post the logfile from your C:\ drive

May be a good idea to check if both are set as "automatic" instead of manual

I have server 2008 64 bits and I downloaded webdav 7 for this installation.

One other problem I found is that when I followed Microsoft's instruction in below link to change applicationHost.config file, I lost the connection to IIS.

I also found that the System Center Configuration Manager I have is a 32bits application software. Will it not work with my 64 bits OS?

I found my solution. Basically, instead of 2008, I use server 2003. The installation went on without problems.
Thanks for everyone's time.
