Intel ATOM for a web/mail server?

I need to build a cheap web and mail server for my home office. Has anyone used the Intel Atom processors to do this?
Which would you recommend? I have seen mobo/cpu combos on newegg for under 80 bucks and am really interested in using this.

Buy a Synology (http://www.synology.com) product.  It has built in webserver and email server.

It keeps you from having to install Linux (and configure) or Windows (and pay) on your own.

I don't mind setting up Linux but it does look convienent. I looked at some reviews on newegg and a concern was that it is slow. It will host my web site along with a few clients sites so I will need something that can put out some speed. I have cable internet business edition (22Mbps/5Mbps).

have you considered a hosting service??  It might be cheaper in the long run than that big cable connection?

I have a host that costs me 100bucks a year roughly and I get upwards of 150GB of storage and 20 to 30 gigs of TX per month.

They do all the domain management etc... it works great.

The cable company charges me the same for that speed as the home version. I want to keep this in house.

Just wondering if anyone used the Atom processors for a sever that has mail and web capabilities.

Not that I know but Im sure it would work fine for a couple of sites not doing too much.
