Group email address under Windows Mobile 6.1 Professionsl

I have a mobile phone running Windows mobile 6.1 Professional and  PC running Vista Business and MS Office 2007

On the PC I have a group email address in which I've placed the addresses of a team of 8 with whom I communicate regularly.  The Outlook contacts on the PC are synced to the mobile phone but the address book entries are not so I have to enter the 8 addresses separately to send an email to the team from the phone.

Is there a way to use a group name to send to the team from the mobile phone?

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you...what I was able to find is people are using 3rd party contact managers for this they get from the Windows Mobile Store.  It seems there's no built-in way to create a personal address book group.

You'll probably need to create a contact in the phone that has all the email addresses.

I've tried that but the Windows Mobile contacts will only accept one email address each

Dang that's a drag.  I'm a little tied up today but I'll see what I can find.

Thanks for broadening this out.  If I can only determine for sure that what I want can't be done, that will save me spending time on it but I live in hope ...

What is the server these are being sent to, is this Exchange?

Personally I use Lotus Traveler to sync my Windows Mobile with my Domino server and send to groups OK BUT those are on the domino server address book.

Perhaps if this is going through a server such as this then have the group created there with an SMTP email address if necessary then you can send to groupxyz and it will get sent to the recipients by the server.

Thanks - I now understand that what I want can't be done under WM6

Dragon-IT: This is now closed but I'm not syncing, I'm using the mobile to access and send email directly
