"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If client has admin rights, then you can change it.  Is this machine in a domain? Do you have naother Vista or Win 7 machine? Connect this machine using computer management of that machine and change the admin password.

if you can't boot the netbook up, or can't log into it, you need to get a cd drive attached to it by usb, and boot to one of the hundreds of password recovery packages out there

This is a standalone netbook. It is not part of a domain. I have another Vista system. What do i need to do? Is there any password changing utilities out there?

the other vista machine won't be able to change the password on the netbook... you'll need to get a usb cd drive, and burn this to cd, boot to it, follow the steps...

There are tools. Try this link http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/passrecovery.htm. If you need anything get back to me. If you can connect these machine in same network having IP address in same class range, then open computer management in Vista and connect to this computer. then reset thr password.
