IE Trusted Sites Group Policy

Hello,

We are trying to add a list of select sites to the trusted sites zone for several users.  The policy works fine, but blocks the users from being able to add any additional sites.  We want the users to be able to modify and add any sites that they need, but want the ability to add additional sites automatically.

It would be great to do this with a GP, I know we could do a logon script and tweak the registry, but that seems overkill.

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try to edit that GPO and in security tab switch rights for users from view to view&edit. Maybe it will help.

I think you sort of have your answer already, sounds like you are using site to zone assignment list.  If you use that I don't even think users can scroll through the list.

I discussed some other methods here

The IE maintenance policy is also a pain.

The script method you mentioned will do it.  One other method is to use group policy preferences I haven't fully tested that.

Thanks

Mike
