Password protected directories on Apache/Plesk/Linux

I have previously set up some password protected directories on our website and I now need to remove one of the users. But I can't remember how I set them up.

I've been into Plesk, and the protected directory is listed under the domain, but the users aren't there. So I guess I set them some other way. Where should I be looking?

Running Plesk and Apache under Ubuntu 6.06.2.

HI,

Check for file .htaccess in that directory. If you have had done it from .htaccess then use following procedure to delete the user

First, edit the .htaccess file and remove the user you do not wish to allow access to and save the file.

Second, delete the user from the .htpasswd file by typing this command at the prompt:
htpasswd D test
The option D is for delete. It should prompt you that user test was deleted.
