CSS for submit button without class or id

Is there a css call to target just submit buttons without having to add class or id to all the existing and new buttons added?

It's an existing wordpress site, so it's not so simple to add a class or id to each and everyone that's already there. Then as new ones are added by someone else, it will be forgotten to manually add the class.

Nothing that will work cross browser, but you can use jQuery to add the class or style on page load.

Just put this in your head after wp_head();

<script>
            jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
                  $(":submit").css({background:"yellow", border:"3px red solid"});
            });
</script>

http://api.jquery.com/submit-selector/

If you just want to add a class that you can control in your stylesheet then use

<script>
            jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
                  $(":submit").addClass('buttonClass');
            });
</script>

The input [type=submit] didn't seem to work well enough for cross-browser, but thank you for the suggestion.

Using this to add the class name worked the smoothest. Thanks much.
