Windows 7 Profile into SBS 2008

I have just connected a Windows 7 Porfessional client onto SBS 2008 and despite a succesful connection and recognition on the Server. Each time I logon to the client I get the message "You have been logged on with a temporary profile" In addition I cannot see the server in the list of Netowrked Computers.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

How did you join the Windows 7 computer to the SBS 2008?   Using the http://connect wizard??

Hi Chris,

I did use the connect wizard.. I have a suspicion that I have a corrupt profile as I cannot find any reference to this problem anywhere else.

Hi centrev,

This is not the main problem. main issue is I can't hold programmes e.g Outlook etc in a temp profile

I would agree...if this is only happening on one machine...I'd take it back to workgroup
Make sure that when you join back to the domain running the wizard, be sure to Run IE as an Administrator!

Check that the user has the correct permissions to logon.
Also if the profile is corrupted, you'll need to fix it.
