Hi,
I would like to know how could I install windows mobile 5 applications on a windows CE5.0 thin client.
I have the Hava Wireless HD for watching tv on a mobile device , the mobile player runs on windows mobile 5 but when I want to install it on the CE 5.0 thin client I get an error about incompatibility

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Completely different operating systems built with different purposes in mind and different strategies to implement.  Similarity in name and timeframe are misleading, they have next to nothing in common.

I understand the difference just that some PDA or pocket pc say that thay are based on Windows CE therefore I assumed applications could be compatible as Windows CE installers have the same extention *.cab than the Windows Mobile ones. I would like  to install opera browser on a Viewsonic V212-003 tablet and use it for just basic Internet browsing , also I would like to install the slingbox player mobile on it reason being of my question

Pay attention to CE Geek's posts in this thread, as he is also using a V212.  He does say he eventually gets it working (with some screen misalignment), but you'll have to do some manual installation rather than the standard "click CAB file and walk away."
Slingbox is unrealistic, largely due to hardware limitations in a 5+ year old CE-based tablet.
