JBoss 5 dies without trace

hi, experts,

We have some weired issue for JBoss 5. We have an application deployed as ear. It works fine in our internal dev boxes  But after we hand over to client and they have same JBoss 5 running. Every now and then, the JBoss process disapper without trace. Look at JBoss boot log or server log, we don't see anything at all.
Is there anyone having clue what might be the reason?

The JBoss 5 running on JDK 6 at suse 10 Linux box both our internal boxes and client's boxes. It runs fine in our internal environement for month ok but in client's boxes, it always happen with same kind of set up interms of linux/jdk/jboss.

Thanks a lot!

Can you put all JVM parameters used to start JBoss and system specs like RAM,H/W and maximum concurrent users stats. It will help us more understanding the problem better.

I propose sample idle parameters for JVM will be something like below

-Xms 768m
-Xmx 1024m
-XX:+UseParallelGC
-XX:+AggressiveHeap
-XX:PermSize=128m
-XX:MaxPermSize=128m

Try adding -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError to your JAVA_OPTS while server start so that you will get a heap dump if JVM crashes unexpectedly.

and try a look @ system error logs.

it is due to some jdk settings.
