Situation: User 1 has an M7324 model phone with a CAP/KIM module attached at ext:1234. User 2 has a T7316/M7310 model phone with ext:4321.

I want to swap phones between the users and have the CAP/KIM module working. If i could keep the extensions the same that would be great, but its not a must.

I have tried doing a "set relocation" on my BCM50. I was able to swap phones and keep the extensions the same, but the CAP/KIM module is not working in the new location. Any direction and/or guidance would be much appreciated.

i came to the conclusion that the phone line has to be wired differently than the other one. More specifically, one has to be wired to supply power for the CAP module. I have read online that you need an aux power supply for the module but there is no input for another power supply on the CAP, only a 24v input where the phone line goes in. I used an adapter to extend the existing line another 30 feet to the bookkeepers office. problem solved.
